Details Matter when performing squats and deadlifts

▪️With a slight change in the degree of knee and hip flexion, you can change the muscles you’re targeting.🏋️🏋️

▪️Exercises such as the front and back squats bend the knee to a greater degree resulting in more recruitment of the quad muscles.

▪️In comparison the conventional deadlift and RDLs hinge the hips to a greater degree resulting in more recruitment of the glute and hamstring muscles.

▪️Quad dominant movements drive the knees forward to create a greater shin angle and a deeper hip drop. While glute and hamstring dominant movements hinge the hips to a greater degree to create a flatter back and a more vertical shin.

Understanding the differences is important for injury prevention and the overall success of your lifts. 💪🏼💪🏼
