It’s common to tilt the head back during exercises like the deadlift and squat, putting the cervical spine into a deep extension, which may cause unnecessary strain on the neck. 👎👎
When performing these exercises, pay close attention to the position of your head and neck when standing. Imagine holding a large piece of fruit under your chin…but don’t squeeze too tight! Then maintain that position as you perform each repetition. It may feel strange at first, but it will benefit you in the long run. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
